Abstract

Human resource management is a process consisting of planning, organizing, directing and procuring, controlling, developing, compensating, integrating, promoting, evaluating work, and terminating employment relations in order to achieve set goals. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of work involvement and work motivation on job satisfaction at the Bima City Tourism and Culture Department. Based on the background of the problem and the existing problem formulation, the problem characteristics examined in this research use an associative model, namely research that explains causal relationships and tests the relationship between several variables through hypothesis testing or explanatory research. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. In this research, the number of samples obtained and analyzed was 42 employees with ASN status. The research results show that the work involvement variable and work motivation variable have a significant simultaneous effect on the job satisfaction variable. The overall work involvement and work motivation variables contribute to the job satisfaction variable. Bima city tourism and culture department to improve employee performance, can be done with an approach to work motivation variables and to improve employee performance, can also be done with an approach to the Job Satisfaction variable which involves employees in every organizational activity as well as evaluating the implementation of activities and performance results to ensure consistency. Â
