PERAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU DI SMK YOHANES 23 MAUMERE
Abstract
The objectives of this research are: To describe the role of the principal in improving teacher performance at SMK Yohanes 23 Maumere. This study aims to describe role of the principal in improving teacher performance at SMK Yohanes 23 Maumere. To achieve the above objectives, researchers here use a descriptive qualitative research approach. Informant subjects involved in this study were school principals, some of the teachers. The data collection method is by structured and unstructured interviews, documentation. For data analysis used consisted of data reduction, data collection, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the principal conducts coaching inside and outside the school. The coaching that is done inside the school is routine meetings, individual discussions, assessments, and class visits. The coaching that is done outside the school is involving teachers in training workshops and teacher working groups.
