Abstract

Rifampicin is a first-line tuberculosis drug. The concentration of rifampicin in the blood greatly affects resistance and increases side effects. This review article aims to review the analytical method of rifampicin in blood plasma. The method in this review article is a search with the PubMed® search engine. Based on research, the most widely used methods for analyzing rifampicin in blood plasma are high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) with ultraviolet (UV), diode array (DAD) or mass spectroscopy (MS). detector. . Based on these methods, the UPLC method equipped with an MS detector is the most widely used method for analyzing rifampicin in blood plasma.
