PELATIHAN METODE READ ALOUD DAN PEMANFAATAN PUSTAKA DIGITAL BAGI GURU KB TK ABA KABUPATEN SIDOARJO

Abstract

Problems with partners related to children's reading interest and literacy are very complex, therefore its implementation cannot be separated from all parties who must work together and work together, especially parents and teachers. The purpose of implementing science and technology for the community for KB teachers of TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) is to improve the quality and potential and literacy thinking skills so that students have the provision of soft skills and hard skills in growing children's love of reading. The program that will be implemented is focused on aspects of developing the quality of early childhood teachers through improvement and improvement in the field of teaching so that it can foster a child's love of reading. In its delivery, an effective method is needed in accordance with the child's development. Early childhood, especially Kindergarten (TK) can be introduced to the Read Aloud method which generally means reading stories aloud. In a complex way, this method reads stories in picture books or in digital children's stories applications in a loud voice, so that it can help focus attention and raise questions and design discussions. The Read Aloud method combines elements of images and sounds that are sure to be interesting for children, making it easier for teachers to stimulate speaking or language skills in children. The implementation of this community service was carried out in April 2020, at the KB TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Sambiroto. The stages in this training activity include basic knowledge about reading stories aloud (Read Aloud method), training in reading aloud (Read Aloud) and then continuing with the use of digital libraries for early childhood. With the Read Aloud training and the use of digital libraries for KB Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten teachers, it is hoped that it can be useful for teachers to improve teaching, increase teaching materials, and as an effort to fix and improve the quality of teaching staff, and infrastructure in KB Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten.
