Implementasi Akad Muzara’ah Dalam Meningkatkan Pendapatan Buruh Tani Di Desa Susuk
Abstract
Farm laborers in Susuk Village, Tiganderket District, Karo Regency face several economic challenges such as low income, seasonal work, limited land, and skills focused solely on agriculture. These conditions make it difficult for them to sustainably improve their standard of living and economic well-being. To address this issue, a community service program was implemented. Its aim was to increase farm laborers' income through the application of the muzara'ah contract, allowing them to work more intensively and earn income sustainably. This program used mentoring and active participation methods. Farm laborers were directed to plant corn on a 1-hectare plot using 13.75 kg of corn seeds. A tiered muzara'ah scheme was implemented, involving farm laborers, capital owners, and landowners. Tiered muzara'ah involves landowners, fund owners, and farm laborers. The fund owner enters into a muzara'ah contract with the landowner (60:40 profit-sharing) and with the farm laborers (50:50 profitsharing). The landowner's share is taken from the fund owner's profits after distribution to the farm laborers. This initiative demonstrates the potential of the muzara'ah scheme in increasing farm laborers' income and creating mutually beneficial cooperation in the agricultural sector.
