EFEKTIVITAS PEMBERIAN PUTIH TELUR TERHADAP PENYEMBUHAN LUKA PERINEUM
Abstract
The puerperium is the period from 1 hour after the birth of the placenta to 6 weeks or for 42 days. Tear in the birth canal is one of the causes of postpartum hemorrhage which can increase maternal morbidity and mortality. It is necessary to do proper treatment to prevent postpartum hemorrhage. Meanwhile, if the perineal wound is not handled properly it can lead to infection. In accelerating the healing of perineal wounds in postpartum mothers, it is to fulfill the nutrition of postpartum mothers such as foods that contain protein. One of the foods that contain high protein is chicken eggs where the food is affordable and easy to get. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of boiled chicken egg white on perineal wound healing. This research method uses a literature review by reviewing 8 articles related to perineal wound healing with boiled chicken egg whites. The results of a review of 8 articles prove that giving egg whites to postpartum mothers with perineal wounds can accelerate the healing of perineal wounds. In addition, several articles discuss the characteristics of respondents such as age, education, parity, income.
