PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN KOMIK DIGITAL PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS KELAS IX SMP
Abstract
The background to this research is the development of learning media in Class IX English subjects because of the low interest and enthusiasm of students to learn English. This study aims to develop digital comic media products for the English subject of class IX in junior high school, and to find out the process of developing learning media that is developed is feasible or not for use in the learning process by teachers and students. The type of research used in this research is research and development which is called Research and Development (R&D) using the ASSURE model. In this model there are 6 stages of development, namely the Analysis Learner stage, the Stage of Setting Standards and Objectives (State Standards and Objectives), the Stage of Selecting Media, Materials and Supporting Technology (Select Media, Materials and Technology), the Stage of Using Media, Materials and Technology (Utilize Media, Material and Technology), the Require learner Participation stage and the Evaluation and Revision stage (Evaluate And Revise). The validity test was carried out on 3 people, namely 2 media validators and 1 material validator. The practicality test was carried out on 26 respondents, namely class IX C students of SMP Pembangunan UNP. Based on the results of the assessment by the two media validators, they obtained an average score of 4.93 which was categorized as "very valid". The results of the assessment validation from the material validator obtained an average of 4.73 which was categorized as "very valid", while the results of product practicality tests by students obtained an average of 4.77 which was categorized as "very practical". Based on the results of the validity and practicality assessment, it can be concluded that the media products used are suitable for use in learning.
